No you will never have to pay for basic Web Pages. We may offer commercial packages for enhanced accounts but the basic account will always be free!!

Why don't you charge for this service like others?
This is an important question. We do not charge for this service because our goal is to offer the best information on nursing homes for our visitors. Through you adding pages we are accomplishing this goal whilst you benefit from added exposure. This makes it a win-win situation. You will notice that there is a banner ad at the top and left of the page, this is the only price you pay to use our service. We also feel that other sites' similar offerings are overpriced and present a barrier to homes gaining a presence on the web. Although we may offer commercial packages in the future, to improve your account and promotion ability, we will always charge a fair price.

Are homes with Web Pages ranked higher?
YES, homes with a web page will be ranked higher than those without one, in both the directory and internal search results. You may wonder why we came to use this method. Our view is that a home with a Web page offers more up to date information than a home without one. Our goal is to offer our visitors a good description of the home and the facilities it may offer.

How do I get rid of the advert?
At the moment we do not offer any commercial packages to remove the advert , if there is a demand for this service from our users we will consider implementing it .

What do I get when I sign up?
You get an account, web pages for EACH home that you own, an option to upload images of your home, a contact form and a link to your Home's website should you own one. You also get elevated higher on the directory and search pages.

Will you do my page for me?
No the purpose of Web Pages is that you can promote your nursing home for free on one of the top nursing home directories.

Can I have more than one FREE web page?
You can have a FREE web page for EACH home that you own. When adding a new home you do not need to apply for a new account but we do require you to register an application for each. While logged in go to add home and enter your homes name and postcode. Homes that are submitted will be reviewed in the same manner as when you first applied for an account.

Can I use HTML in my pages?
No. For security reasons we do not allow the use of HTML or any kind of scripting language on your web pages.

Can I put up advertising?
No this is forbidden by the terms of service. If you do put up advertising this is considered a breach of the terms of service and your account will be terminated immediately.

Can I use my own domain name?
Currently we do not offer this feature. If there is a demand for this service from our users we will consider implementing it.

Can I style my text?
There is a selection of styles at the top of the editor.

Can I delete my account?
Yes. To delete your account you must be logged in, then click the delete home link and click the delete account button. If you do choose to delete your account you are free to sign up again if you wish.

What is the maximum image size?
The maximum size of an image is currently 50Kb.

How do I get the best from my images?
If you publish an image try to use an image size close to a height of 200 pixels and a width of 300 pixels. If your image exceeds these limits our software will resize it as close to these limits as possible and this may reduce the quality of your image.

How do I make my images smaller in size?
The best way to bring your image size down to 50Kb is to load it into your favourite picture editor and reduce the number of colours. Alternatively you could use an online service such as GIFBot at NetMechanic

How much text can I have?
You are allowed a maximum of 2500 characters of text. If you exceed this limit the extra text will be missing from the end.
